Port Klax

Within the outskirts of City 17, lies a mysterious port. No one knows why its there, or what its purpose is. The Resistance and Combine maps don't even show this area. It was only recently discovered by the second group of Resistance members who were on their way to Black Mesa East. They used it as a temporary shelter for the night and headed out soon after in the early morning. It was given the name "Port Klax.", and word of the port soon found its way to the rest of the Resistance.

This map was born from a scrapped map that takes place in City 17 during dawn. It was a test to see how much I could stick to the Half-Life 2 aesthetic while pushing it slightly. The whole look was coming together really nicely but I wasn't able to get the level detail I wanted to out of it, so I scrapped it. There was no point in continuing to work on something that isn't going to plan. Then, the idea for an abandoned port came through and I reused the left overs from City 17 at Dawn to work on this. What's left of it boils down to the layout and some props.
