The former Headshrinker Fatu transitioned into positive role model Fatu before redebuting as The Sultan in 1996.

Managed by The Iron Sheik and Bob Backlund, the Sultan never spoke as his tongue had allegedly been cut off. He wrestled on the WWF midcard until early 1998, only to return a year later as the gimmick that would later land him in the WWE Hall of Fame, Rikishi.
