bypassing the puzzle completely.
You have to have trap 4 monsters on those 4 plates to open the door. I suggest you lure the monsters onto the plate and then use either Freeze Monster spell (rune combination FHI and lvl 10 Ice magic) or Hold Monster Spell (rune combination DGH and lvl 10 Earth Magic). Once they are in place, close the gratings at both sides of the monster before either of the spells wear out. Do so for 3 pressure plates. Then for the fourth one, which is on a "crossroads" use one of the spells on the monster once it is on the last plate and run for the exit door which should be open.
Azure Level 1 - One shield
Azure Level 2 - Two shields
Azure Level 3 - Three shields
If you are unable to find the missing one and you can use the in-game console, you can use this command to create and extra shield:
spawn("heavy_shield_lion")
As far as the ores are concerned:
Azure Level 2 - One ore - reward for the challenge and needed to progress to Azure Level 3
Azure Level 4 - One ore - in the junk room that is beyond the puzzle room where you need to trap monsters on the pressure plates.
Azure Level 3 - One ore - At the end of the Diseased Ogre Prison area - that area is reachable only by a pit at end of Azure Level 4.
If you can´t backtrack, you can use thi command to spawn extra ore:
spawn("ore")
You need to place 3 such ores on the altar at Temple Level 2 to progress.
