Royal Mint "Jatayuvahana"

With the first miners' departure, so left the Pertamites' only easy access to the fiat currencies of Earth. In the lawless times that followed, rare, lustrous, and unalloyed platinum took their place. The first of this new specie came from meteorites under the sand, dredged up by warlords' legions of soldiers, servants, and sudras. This order persisted until the wild success of Scraprabbit, which brought from the unknown enough ore to ignite a space race. In barely four decades, mining operations evolved from ramshackle rockets and hand drills to the Royal Mint "Jatayuvahana," from which most platinum on Pertam can trace its lineage.
Built at the behest of the Queen of the wastes and heavily influenced by her fascination with Earth, the vessel was to be the first permanently inhabited Pertamite craft to be incapable of returning to the surface. From this came the name and epithet of its miner, after the fallen lord of vultures.

Jatayuvahana carries Jatayu, a large-grid miner. Jatayu has articulated arms, ten drills, twenty small cargo containers, and hydrogen propulsion, as well as the ExcavOS script for inventory and flight management.



Jatayuvahana includes an articulated crane and magnetic claw assembly that can be manipulated with tekk's Cockpit Piston, Rotor & Hinge Controller script. This setup allows for the manipulation of large or unweildy objects. To control this assembly, press button [1] in toolbar two of the copilot seat, toolbar 2 of the maintenance seat, and the crane cockpit.
