MEGA-TBM - Fire-In-The-Hole Class Tunnel Boring Machine - Space Version

Mega Space *Tunnel Boring Machine* (*TBM*) !

YOU: But what is a tunnel boring machine?

MEGA-SPACE-TBM: A TBM is a cool, huge, extremely expensive, hard-to-use and kind of fragile machine.
It's made to dig tunnels inside mountains and stuff and it's way faster than the drill & blast method.

YOU: Oh noes! It's "hard-to-use", "expensive" and even "fragile"!

MEGA-SPACE-TBM: Yes, a NORMAL TBM is kinda crappy (but still widely used to dig tunnels everywhere as it's better that usual boring methods).

BUT I AM NOT A NORMAL TBM. I AM A MEGA-SPACE TBM!!!

YOU: well?

MEGA-SPACE-TBM: You can have all the advantages without the flaws!

YOU: I KNOW WHAT BORING MEANS!

MEGA-SPACE-TBM: Ok, just keep calm and read my specs!


SPECS:
Weight: Does anyone really care about this?
Blocks: As usual, see weight.
Speed: WAY faster than normal mining methods and normal TBMs.
Coolness level: It’s so cool that it can enter any Blue-Giant-Sized star and immediately stop the thermonuclear reactions! It’s also so cool that it’s banned in 24 U.S. States.
Danger level: well… it’s a mining ship, but… if that thing was coming right towards my super-mega-ultra-epic carrier… I’d start running.

Characteristics:
• Eco-Friendly: It only needs 3 reactors to work perfectly!
• Fast: Even if it seems slow at first, you’ll see how fast it is compared to other capital-sized ships.
• Compact: So you can dig without loosing pieces of your new TBM.
• Beautiful.
• Indestructible.
• Easy-to-use.
• Cool.
• Awesome: Because it’s Awesome! And if you try it you’ll feel awesome too!


Features:
1. MEGA-SPACE-TUNNEL BORING MACHINE – A super advanced mining ship based on REAL TBMs, thus featuring REAL TBM features. (YES I KNOW THAT I WROTE FEATURE 45 TIMES BUT THE TBM DOESN’T CARE)
2. HEAD – An extendable, rotating, stable and strong mining head. Its characteristics are achieved via a complex system, (made of 4 pistons, some tons of collectors, conveyors, drills, ejectors, 1 rotor and a gravity generator) which makes the HEAD one of the most durable TBM HEADS on the workshop (I think it’s currently the only one, but it’ll remain the best for a long time).
3. Service ships x 3 – These nice, small, pretty (in-yellow), cute and awesome small ships are designed to help you control the TBM via remote control. They are equipped with some extra stuff, just in case you needed to weld and/or grind and/or destroy something.
4. AWESOMENESS - amazing, breathtaking, and/or overwhelming feeling.

INSTRUCTIONS – TBM:
1. Get inside (from the back) and pilot the TBM as a normal capital-sized ship, ‘till you get close (20 meters or moar) to an asteroid. Start the drills by pressing 1, and use the control panel to start the head rotation. Finally press 2 to extend the head with the 4-piston system.
2. Now there should be some distance between the head and the asteroid. *SLOWLY* accelerate and get closer. The drills will do the rest.
3. Once you start digging, keep going and you’ll soon have a tunnel. Inside an asteroid.

INSTRUCTIONS – SERVICE SHIPS - DRONE MODE:
1. Make sure you each ship's components. (ALL OF THEM)
2. Get a control panel (you may even use your engie's control panel, just bring up the inventory screen, pick the control panel tab and choose the ship from the list in the top left corner), select one of the ships, then click on the control button in the remote control menu.
3. Search for the camera and click on view (the TBM has no camera as it'd be useless, get close to the head and control the engines to do some precise tunnel boring).
4. Now you got a drone. :D
5. You can also “let” your friends use them, while you have fun with the TBM. ;)

Overall it is a very good mining ship. It uses very few drills compared to other ships of the same kind, thanks to its rotating head and innovative conveyor system.
It’s a truly unique ship. Other “moles” are just not on the same level as this one. PERIOD.

Stop the boredom with your new awesome Mega-Space-Tunnel-Boring-Machine! *BA DUM TSSS*

Any reference to any real thing is purely random. Everything here is original.

EDIT: after some extensive testing and some tons of materials I've noticed that the pistons tend to wear off, the rotor works just fine, even if you get too close to the asteroid (as you're piloting a ship that is as heavy as 33 blue wales "getting too close" means producing an impact of 600.000 N if you're going really slow | 0.1m/s | or more if you're going faster | 1.200.000 N | ; N=kg*m/s^2, so if you're going at 0.1 m/s and stop in one second the acceleration is 0.1m/s^2 ), the cutting wheel will simply slow down a bit, but keep an eye on the pistons!
