Low Vision

This mod allows customising vision ranges for units in the game. By default, agent vision is drastically reduced, while enemy vision is also reduced but slightly better than for agents, so they might see you before you see them. Peeking and listening are even more useful now. Makes information more limited and exploration even more tense and nerve-wracking.

This mod has been floating around as black market software on the Discord for a few years now and finding some popularity for Halloween-themed and otherwise "spooky" runs. I finally cleaned it up enough to post it here. For that same reason, the mod also includes an on-by-default "unfair mode" which makes things even more tense. Set it to NEVER to disable it. But really, it's not that bad and hardly ever happens... :-) If you desperately must know what it is, check out the discussion below.

Note: In vanilla, agents and turrets have infinite vision. Guard vision varies but tends to be around 8 tiles.

For modders:
The vision change is implemented by adding a "LowVisionMod" modifier to the unit on spawn.
