Gamemode: Operation (5 phases)
Invaders: United States (allies)
Defenders: Germany (axis)

Last update: 9/21/2025
UPDATES: Updated music and added artillery script on the beach. Updated uniforms and added custom "music". Re-uploaded to try to address issues with mission not loading in game. Updated uniforms, added some additional cosmetic features and props to the map.

Mission 1 in the Saving Private Ryan series. Soldiers, sailors, and airmen of the Allied expeditionary force... You are about to embark upon yet another Omaha beach invasion map, but this time it's going to include accurate unit compositions and devastating defenses in the heights overlooking the beach. Survive the LCVP ride to the beach and hit the ground running - if you stay put you're a dead man. Focus on those Germans manning field guns and mg's in the bunkers, or you're gonna have a hell of a time trying to get off that beach alive.

I don't recommend playing this with maximum AI's, since the Germans tend to absolutely flood off the hills and swarm the beach. Standard or High is preferable.

is any one else having the issue that some of the german uniforms dont have textures?

Is there a way to remove the tank? It makes it too easy to make it up the beach.

Appreciate the feedback. I've updated uniform, faction items, and will be addressing the artillery aspects as well as adding scripts to help keep the German on the cliffs and not the beach.

by far my favorite mission to play, just wondering why the rangers use the 29th uniform and not the ranger uniform? just slightly immersion breaking is all

Not sure if it's the new AI update or what but the big german artillery in the rear decimates every LCVP going to the beach. I played through twice and not a single boat made it to the beach. The only reason I was able to even play the mission was by using the beach spawn points.

Correct, there's no way to make it 1:1 fit the movie with the current game dynamics. It's made to be as close of an approximation as the game allows while balancing reasonable expectations (I'm not going to build an entirely new Omaha beach map when one already exists).

This would be great if the beach was the layout in the movie not the layout of Omaha in the base game with different objectives. Otherwise some things like a long wide open beach with no cover and the bangalore scene(which is impossible due to ai and just the game mechanics) and moving into the beach shore town rather than moving up the hill and capping the trenches. Sorry to sound so critical but a movie just can't work in this game unfortunately. Good job trying to replicate though.
