Removes the annoying news advert in the corner of the main menu.

Not my idea, but since the one I was using got deleted and I couldn't see any alternative, I figured I'd have to take matters into my own hands.

Make sure you move this to the top of whatever mod manager you are using. It seems that Mixer also overwrites the same file.

N.B.: The mod will be updated when it is required. Unless it is verifiably broken, kindly refrain from asking about updates just because the launcher has a coloured icon in it. Any inane BS comments of the ilk "pls update" will be summarily deleted.

Works fine on my end. I don't get any notices.

I'd suggest you try launching the game with only this mod enabled and see if it still happens. Also do the usual unsubscribe/resubscribe.

It is configured to be yes so perhaps that load arrangement has changed. I'll check when home to be certain again.

Not sure why this doesn't remove the update notes patches from the screen. For me, this is fully updated but it's still showing "6.1.2" update window in the bottom right. Nothing else, just this.

If it's not working on your end, you can try the usual trick of unsubscribing and resubscribing.

It should go without saying that this mod is incompatible with any other mod that also edits the same file. Try moving this mod to the top of the list in the launcher.

It works fine. There have literally been no changes to main.twui.xml since 5.0.0.
