Bretonnian Knights on Foot

描述
Foot Knight Units:

• Knights of the Realm on Foot: Tier 3 Sword Infantry, recruited from Tier 4 Barracks. Equivalent to Kislev Tzar Guard.

• Knights of the Realm on Foot (Great Weapons): Tier 3 Greatsword Infantry, recruited from Tier 4 Barracks. Equivalent to Kislev Tzar Guard (Great Weapons).

• Grail Champions: Tier 4 Sword Infantry, recruited from Tier 5 Worship. Grail Guardians on foot, similar to Warriors of Chaos Aspiring Champions. Unit Attributes: Encourage, Strider, and Causes Fear. Unit capped at 1 / Tier 5 Worship building.

Foot Squire Units:

• Foot Squires (Blessed Arrows): Tier 2 Hybrid Bow & Sword Infantry, recruited from Tier 3 Barracks. Superior to Peasant Bowmen, with descent melee stats and Magic Armour-Piercing missiles. Unit Attributes: Vanguard, Stalk, and Woodsman.

• Foot Squires (Spears): Tier 2 Spear Infantry, recruited from Tier 3 Barracks. Monster hunting scouts, similar in concept to Wood Elf Wardancers (Asrai Spears). Unit Attributes: Vanguard, Stalk, and Woodsman.

Men-at-Arms Units:

• Men-at-Arms (Great Weapons): Tier 1 Hammer Infantry, recruited from Tier 2 Barracks. Tier 1 Armour-Piercing, Anti-Infantry, Damage Dealers.


Vanilla Unit Tweaks:

• Peasant Mob – Recruitment: Tier 1 Settlements
• Peasant Bowmen – Recruitment: Tier 1 Settlements

• Spear/Men-at-Arms – Recruitment: Unavailable (Garrison Units)
• Spear/Men-at-Arms (Shields) – Recruitment: Tier 1 Barracks
• Men-at-Arms (Polearm) – Recruitment: Tier 2 Barracks

• Grail Reliquae – Unit Stats: See included image
• Grail Reliquae – Unit Attributes: Encourage, Aura of Protection
• The Holy Wardens of La Maisontaal – Unit Stats: See included image
• The Holy Wardens of La Maisontaal – Unit Attributes: Rabble-Rouse

• Foot Squires – Unit Stats: See included image
• Beastslayers of Bastonne – Unit Stats: See included image
• Beastslayers of Bastonne – Unit Attributes: Sundered Armour, Rowdy

• Cavalry Knights – Unit Attributes: Glorious Charge
• Questing/Grail Knights – Unit Attributes: Strider


Garrison Tweaks:

• Tier 3 Minor Settlements – Walls: False -> True
• Tier 3-5 Settlement Garrisons include a Paladin
• Foot Squires (Blessed Arrows) replace Peasant Bowmen at higher tiers.
• Foot Squires (Spears) replace Men-at-Arms (Polearm) at higher tiers.
• Foot Squires replace Knights Errant.
• Knights of the Realm on Foot replace Knights of the Realm.

@WilliamTheLion I'm looking forward to the new Bretonnia update with great anticipation, but expect to still keep this mod going.
I've updated one of the unit cards, was never really satisfied with it. Hopefully it's more suitable. Thanks!

@Norym The visuals are all in-game, I just edited existing variantmeshdefinitions files. You're welcome to use them if you like them

@Rincewind322 There's no visual or stat change, the armour type is actually linked to audio. I switched it to match the Pilgrims carrying the Reliquae, but I keep forgetting to take it out since it's not a meaningful change. Will do that for the next update.

Love the mod, small question; do the changes to Battle Pilgrim armor have in game effects or do you mean you reskinned them with more chainmaill? I only wonder bc I didn't know if 'armor type' was a different stat than just 'armor'
PS foot squires with blessed arrows are the AP ranged unit Ive been praying to the lady for

@Pokel I've been thinking about it... As they've made it their duty to fight on foot with the peasants, I'll add them to the Peasant Duty skill so they're not left out. Thanks for asking the question 👍🏼
