"As we approached the mining world, little could be made out from above due to the treacherous conditions below us. We had been sent in to help in the search efforts for the S.S Aquitaine - a freighter that went missing in the sector two rotations prior. We we're all that could be sent from Grey Squadron to aid the OSF in their search for the vessel, but our presence was most welcomed, and warranted due to the recent surge in hostilities at the border points. Trelan was a planet rich in various ores necessary for the sustained space travel of all factions; and as such had been divided to avoid further conflict between the nations. Our fear was that somehow Aquitaine had malfunctioned and strayed over the borders into contested space, or worse; been taken out in some kind of hostile engagement. There was little we could do without escalating tensions, but if we didn't find something soon for the OSF, and the families of the workers onboard that freighter; then tensions would be raised for us under the assumption that it had been destroyed. No one out searching wanted a fight, not since the end of the last conflict a mere decade before. Every sector we searched, we prayed to hear the voices of those men and women; alive and well, calling out for rescue - but every hour this hope faded further away, as the likeliness of conflict grew closer and closer..."
