This not only causes major issues for Non-CE users like myself but could land you in copyright troubles depending on CE's licensing.
Corpses are handled in a different way (in the C# not the xml) so it's more complicated as far as someone else tweaking the values (since you'd need to rebuild the mod entirely which will be very difficult for someone unfamiliar with modding).
<Operation Class="PatchOperationAdd">
<xpath>/Defs/ThingDef[defName = "Ammo_762x51mmNATO_HP"]/statBases</xpath>
<value>
<DeteriorationRate>20</DeteriorationRate>
</value>
</Operation>
You'd just copy+paste this block below itself and then change the <xpath> to match the item you want to match.
The first I could probably add without too much issue, but tbh, based on the number of subscribers and how much it'd really change the behaviour of the mod, I'm not sure if I want to bother. (Maybe you an explain your motivation behind wanting to tweak it and if it's convincing then I'll try to add a setting to control it.)
The second would be cool to have for myself as well as others, but I don't have any sense of how I'd go about implementing it and at the moment I am happy with just corpses.
