Combat Extended changes the way friendly-fire works. Part of the way they handle it is that if a friendly pawn is in the way of your target, you don't even try to shoot. However, they fail to take leaning pawns into account and this can result in frustrating brain injuries.

This mod makes it so that pawns notice friends who are leaning into their line of fire. When they notice this, they choose not to shoot (since there is a high likelihood of friendly-fire). Pawns will still shoot around their leaning friends if it's safe to do so.

I saw the issue page of CE GitHub, [Bug]: Pawns don't take an ally's leaning into account when deciding whether it's safe (in terms of friendly-fire) to shoot. #2934 [github.com]
and find my way to this page.
Is this mod included in CE now? Do I still need this mod?
