Skybox Sparkling Treasure Chest

no feature for sure... i dont know what it is.. never had that problem.

I have just one question, though: Every once and a while when I turn quickly, I'll briefly see a large starburst exactly like the ones in your skybox, but much larger and closer like it's in the foreground instead of the background, always towards the bottom of the screen but not always in the same spot. This happens even when the sky isn't visible from where I am. Why would this be happening? It's not a problem. Honestly it's actually kind of a neat effect, but it's weird and unexpected enough to make me curious. Is it an intentional feature?

I love this skybox. Probably the closest I'm gonna get to a 'Forbidden Planet'-style retro matte painting.

yes, it has. dont its own. i wouldnt combine two skyboxes in one world. But you can simply change the skybox in rendering improved if you replace the skybox.dds file with any other skybox file in the mod folder (BackgroundCube).

the skybox is fine, I didn't realize Rendering Improved had its own skybox that was overwriting it

The skybox doesnt seem to work anymore, and it changes the world max speed to 170m/s without actually saying it in the description

Thx man, il try to get another version of this in the next weeks. I will upload it as a separate Mod so this will stay untouched :-)

tbh. the environment lightning is a copy of rendering improved, i just modified the sun color and flares, i left background light untouched and reduced the sun intensity a bit, also the flashbangs and glossy stuff has been reduced.

This was my 3rd BackgroundCube i did by my own.

The purple star and skybox looks really nice, no need to change it to white. It lacks the immersion of getting dark enough at night on planets or in space to encourage the use of lights in designs.

I usually use the Milky Way skybox, which is already considered darker than Vanilla (also see popular mods such as Space Just Got Real / Improved Atmosphere Visuals / Rendering Improved).

i play around a bit with the ambient light and publish a new version of it.
But be aware that the new version will be a lot darker... do you prefer white light ?
