Craftable PAWS Pals

Craft your own PAWS pals on your adventures after finding the appropriate materials! You'll have to search for the PAWS-Tacular! magazine in order to learn how to craft the little buddies.

I was on the Zomboid Discord and discussing craftable plushies, which are coming in a future update to my main mod, Pomp's Items, and some folks brought up the idea of having there be a similar system for the vanilla, base game PAWS characters. Since I already had the basic template done, I figured I'd go ahead and put out this mod. It's designed to be fairly vanilla-friendly, and so the loot spawns will be fairly uncommon. There are only two new items included in the mod: a pattern to make the critters and a magazine to teach you how to do so. The magazine can be found in libraries, book stores, magazine racks, and rarely in houses. You'll have to have a decent tailoring skill to be able to craft them, as well as be on the hunt for cotton balls. The cotton balls and tailoring requirement should add a decent cap to prevent you from gathering them immediately and to therefore make looting for them still entirely viable.

In order to get to crafting the PAWS plushies, first you should find the PAWS-Tacular! magazine, afterwards you need to gather the appropriate materials:

• 8 Units of Thread
  
  
• 5 Cotton Balls
  
  
• 10 Ripped Sheets
  
  
• A Pair of Scissors
  
  
• A Needle
  
  
• A PAWS Plush Pattern
  
  
• Lastly, a Tailoring Skill of 5+

The PAWS Plush Pattern can either be looted from sewing kits and other tailoring spawns rarely, or be crafted from:

• A Sheet of Paper
  
  
• A Writing Implement
  
  
• A Tailoring Skill of 3+
