I'm literally playing Mekhane. Why would this mod factor into how elves expand in a Mekhane playthrough? I'm confused...
That being said, it is true that essentially any of the elder gods could do this, not just the snake.
Doubt subsides if it's not next to O Faith.
You could make the 'Snake' spread doubt but you'd have to essentially create a new god and call it the Snake. Mammon or Iastur might work better as an Ophanim foil.
I think the Snake would just be a bonus for an Ophanim player though. "Oh you built up a load of shadow? too kind"
