Полено которое помещается в печь, зажигается само и горит вечно.
В случае с костром, нужно положить полено на землю, и с помощю любой растопки скрафтить костёр.
Никак не ломает ванильные механики костров.

Hello can someone explain how to get them to stay? Place them by hand and the despawn at restart. Place them by editor and they despawn at restart. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

Vanilla version of what? I did not violate the rules of the game manufacturer in any way. There is no vanilla version with these settings. Read the mod description carefully.
