Schmidt Machine Pistol (Counter-Strike: Source) -- CS:S TMP (Real Animations)

The following mod replaces the Silenced SMG with the Schmidt Machine Pistol from Counter-Strike: Source, with a twist.

This is something I've been experimenting with for months, to try and port animations from CS:S into this game myself but I haven't had any success with this until recently, this here is the successful attempt.

I tried my hardest to recreate how this weapon is animated in CS:S (the idle animation, the delay in the transition between fire and idle, the running blended with the idle, etc.), it obviously cannot be remade 1:1 to how it was in the source game but I think it's as close to CS:S as can be, most ports as far as I'm aware don't even include the idle swaying animation so I think this came out alright. Melee animation was borrowed from the L4D1 SMG.

I should mention moving the weapon so that it's in the exact same position on the screen as in CS:S is not possible, CS:S' weapon models had a higher fixed FOV that, if I had tried to mimic would have only looked good at one value, so instead I opted for making it look good at the default value (51) and made sure that higher FOV values still looked ok-ish.

Does not include lookposes or helping hand animations, maybe at some point I'll make a CS:S + L4D1 anim remix but for now I wanted to release this as a "CS:S accurate" version.

I don't know for what reason you'd want to but if you wish to take any assets from this mod (like the animations or the models) feel free to do so, you do not need to ask for permission, just please give me credit for it. This being said please don't make commissions out of this either, thank you. (If you do borrow content from this add-on I recommend you check this page every now and again, sometimes I come back and push an update if something bugs me post-release).
