Hi Everyone,

With this database I wanted to make Ireland more achievable as a 'Build a Nation' type save. So I decided to combine the the North and South and make a United Ireland club database.

The league structure:

RTE Premiership (18 Teams)
RTE Championship (18 Teams)
RTE Conference (20 Teams)

Across all leagues, there are two automatic relegation and promotion spots. A 2-legged playoff is then played between 3rd bottom and 3rd top of the respective leagues in a promotion/relegation playoff.


The cup structure:

Aer Lingus Irish Cup: The FA Cup equivalent. All teams compete and the winner qualifies for Europe.

Guinness League Cup: All top flight and and the top 14 second flight teams compete in the league cup.

Both cups consist of single leg fixtures with extra time + penalties for ties.


Need to Know:

1. Northern Ireland is still a playable league, however this is just amateur sides - necessary to allow the SPFL Trust Trophy in Scotland to continue. You don't need to load NI but may be useful for newgens.

2. As shown in photo #2. You should use a large custom database with all boxes ticked for Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. This ensures a large enough player base.

3. Similar to #2, use the "add players to playable teams" option.


RTE League Sponsorship Details:

I wanted to make the league more competitive than it is now without making it OP. So I reviewed leagues across europe with similar populations to a united Ireland. This is the level of funding other similar/slightly higher level leagues have:

Scotland - £25-30m across 4 divisions
Norway - £50m across 2 divisions
Austria - £28m across 2 divisions
Switzerland - £30m across 2 divisions.

I have made the prize money and TV money combined at £35m across 3 divisiosn:

RTE Premiership - £25m
RTE Championship - £7m
RTE Conference - £3m

This means the most any one team earns per season is £2.5m (can change with dynamic sponsorship's/TV deals)
