DESCRIPTION

This mod adjusts various aspects of the new Roman Auxilaries in DEI: Rise of the Republic overhaul from Public Beta 1.3.3.


CHANGES
  • Latin "Socii" Auxiliaries are available in all provinces and not just Veii, Roma and Latium, as Romans had Latin colonies all over the Italian peninsular.
  • All the Roman Auxiliaries come from the 4th class population, aka the Peregrini population class. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NOT abuse this mechanic. The entire reason for this is to make Roma the powerhouse of Italy as it eventually became during this era due to the Foedus Cassianum ("Treaty of Cassius", 493 BC) NOT to spam entire armies of 4th class population only. Abusing the system will only take out the fun of a challenge, while playing with the system will give that sweet spot mentioned in the next point.
  • It removes the limit for the Auxiliary units so that no matter how many armies you have, you can create a historical Roman army composition of the time i.e. 50% auxiliary infantry, 75% auxiliary cavalry.


RECOMMENDED COMPOSITION

DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind this is based off my own subjective analysis of the Roman army compositions of the time. Shown in the images.
  • For Principes Line: You can replace Socii Principes, with either Hastati Samnitici/Hastati Umbri.
  • For Triarii Line: You can replace Pedites Extraordinarii with Etrucani Hoplitae Optimi.
  • For Melee: You can replace Ensiferi Sabini/Ensifer Samnitici with Umbri Securiferi/Etruscani Securiferi Optimi.
  • For Missiles: You can replace Velites Samnitici with either Pedites Celeres Umbri/Socii Velites.
  • For Cavalry: You can replace Equites Extraordinarii/ for Etrsucani Equites/Equites Sabini, you can replace Equites Celeres Lucani for Equites Celeres Samnitici.

UPDATE

[1] Buffed the Roman Capitoline Hill Building.
[2] Removed the debuff that prevents "Securing Promotion" for Roman generals.
[3] Updated auto-resolve script to include some other major factions like Tarchuna, Veneti, Taras, Liguria and Syracuse to have the major_defender bonus, to prevent them from being wiped out.

all, there is confusion from the modder, there is no Patch 1.33
What hes referring to is 1.3.3

Yes you do, it is on the steam. It is the same as the DEI 1,2 and 3.
