Icy Flats

描述

Icy Flats
Icy Flats is a single stage payload race map set in a nuclear facility on the brink of destruction. Fight in and around a highly radioactive tower that has become a dumping ground for hazardous materials. All the while, try to stay warm as a blizzard rages on around you!



The Frozen Gamemode
Payload Race is infamous for rounds that last forever, leading to everything becoming a deathmatch. To address this, Icy Flats combines the sequential layout of maps like Viaduct with the chaos of Hightower! The carts start in the middle, and must be pushed up the central tower to be detonated in the enemy's waste processing pipe. Players looking to play the objective will be able to easily break through defenses to end a stalemate, while players who enjoy the deathmatch style of payload race will still be able to dominate to their hearts content!



A Bitter Wind
Icy Flats takes place during a frigid blizzard, and every once in a while the wind will pick up, causing low visibility in certain parts of the map! These gusts don't last too long, fortunately, but don't get lost!



The map is still receiving ongoing visual and optimization updates, so stay tuned.

Cool looking map, but is too easy to spawn camp. Also leaving spawn is kinda confusing, as is trying to find spawn again.

@Dr. FeelGoose Thanks for checking out the map! I made the cap area small because it needs to be a decent choke due to the fact that it provides a sizable height advantage over the defending spawn and it's very accessible for attackers. As for the Christmas props, I absolutely agree, but I don't want to do that unless the map actually has a chance at getting in.
