The Lima Locomotive Works Shay is a geared steam locomotive designed by Ephraim Shay and later produced by Lima Locomotive Works, 2,770 Shays have been built by Lima in four classes from 1878 and 1945, the Shays were made to run on steep or poor quality tracks, they were widely used on quarries, factories, mines and plantations, being able to quickly accelerate, from the 2,770 Shays built by Lima, 115 survive today.

Yea, i know how the one irl work, what i mean are the actual conection in scrap mechanic, i see bearing attach to nothing and other strange thing

@Redstonista the Shay uses a 3 cylinder steam engine that drives the wheels through a side shaft and bevel gears, it also uses U joints and prismatic sliding joints to allow it to go around curves

art in motion, one of the few creations that can compete with my locomotives, I admit I'm a little confused about how the transmission works but the fact that it's all vanilla is something truly spectacular, my most sincere congratulations and I hope to see this train at the top of the workshop where it deserves to be
