Hey guys,

are you ready, kids??? Brace yourselves, this will be a big one. It's the Marble GP of the Marshall Islands - and it is Bikini Bottom!

I have wanted to create this map/track for like half a year now and was just waiting for the right moment. Initially I planned to feature this one as the 200th country GP since "Spongebob Squarepants" is basically my favourite TV show of all time, but it would have taken until summer 2024 in order to reach 200 tracks (this is now #135). And so I decided to build it right now because I didn't want to take the risk of someone else getting a similar idea and building Bikini Bottom in Marble World.

But why conncect it to the Marshall Islands? Well...if you're not familiar with the TV show, Bikini Bottom is located in the Pacific Ocean. Stephen Hillenburg, the show's creator who passed away in late 2018, has conformed in an interview where Bikini Bottom would be on planet earth. According to him, the little island visible in the show's intro is actually existing in reality and is also located in the Pacific. It is part of the so called "Bikini Atoll" which is part of the Marshall Island's area and is located above Bikini Bottom. However the reasoning behind the city name "Bikini Bottom" is quite dark. Because the Bikini Atoll was commonly used by the US army to test nuclear bombs (in some Spongebob scenes you can actually see legit footage of the nuclear test whenever their is some sort of explosion happening in-story, e.g. Spongebob accidentally throwing the bomb-filled pie in Squidward's face in the episode "Dying For Pie"). Stephen Hillenburg came up with the name when he read about a recent test and was confronted with the sentence "We tested the weapon in the Bikini Atoll at the bottom of the ocean." - and the name "Bikini Bottom" was born.

The map features:
- Spongebob's house
- Squidward's house
- Patrick's house
- Mr. Krabs' house
- Sandy's treedome
- the Krusty Krab (with kitchen, restrooms, Mr. Krabs' office and the dining area)
- the Chum Bucket
- the Goo Lagoon
- the Jellyfish Fields
- Mrs. Puff's Boating School
- the Sea Needle
- the Barg' N-Mart
- The Flying Dutchman's ship
- Bikini Bottom downtown
- over 15 references to specific TV episodes of "Spongebob Squarepants"
- two references to the original Spongebob movie from 2004
- four references to the game "Spongebob Squarepants - Lights, Camera, Pants" (console version)
- two references to the game "Spongebob Squarepants - Lights, Camera, Pants" (PC version)

The map DOESN'T feature any inhabitants of Bikini Bottom including the main characters (it's too difficult for someone with very limited building skills like me to build halfway realistic looking animals or human-like creatures in MW).

In terms of the actual marble track, you get a complete tour through Bikini Bottom with all the sightseeing highlights.

Lap time is around 8 minutes.

For this track more than any other I would be very pleased to receive any kind of feedback, good or bad. It has taken some time to build all this and I really hope it is as good as I think it turned out. So please feel free to let me know what you think of this track. Thank you!
