Hi There!
This is my replica on the KAMAZ "ICEBERG" Soviet/Russian concept truck

With the fall of the socialist curtain in 1991, many designers had their hands free, so tuning studios and individual car manufacturing companies began to appear at a breakneck speed. People wanted to realize the ideas that were born in their heads in the period of total control and lack of opportunities to open their own companies. One such company was Kora, formed by people from the KAMAZ plant, who wanted to create unusual cars without fear of being overshadowed by the auto giants.

In the mid 90's, "Kora" had an extremely ambitious project of a truck tractor, which even by world standards stood out by its futuristic appearance. Streamlined lines of the body without massive iron elements, one-piece glazing of the cab, which gave the truck a stunning visibility and the frame, closed with decorative panels, would not let the "Iceberg" go unnoticed.

The truck was based on the developments of KAMAZ engineers who got downsized in the first half of the 90s and was very different from the products of the Kamsky Automobile Plant. "Iceberg", which was planned to be produced exclusively in white color, was to be a manifesto of the fact that the USSR had engineers who wanted to create unique vehicles, superior to their Western analogues.

The main feature of the new truck was to be an all-wheel drive chassis with both steerable axles. The sleeper was truly regal. The rest area was separate from the workplace and contained a comfortable sofa, refrigerator, TV, stove, sink and other household items. The installation of a bio-toilet and a folding shower was also envisaged. The designers tried to realize their ideas to create a comfortable "cabin of the future" for a truck driver.

But the car was not to the taste of conservative citizens, for whom such luxury and comfort in long hauls seemed unnecessary. That's why "Aisberg" remained a project, and it's a pity, because the truck turned out to be really beautiful, don't you agree?
