"Hair Fix" for the Apprentice SFM Users out there: Right-click the model name in the Animation Viewer, add 'override material' to the model from the dropdown menu. Then, from the same dropdown menu, select 'Show Element Viewer' -> 'Model' -> select the (+) next to 'Materials' -> right-click on 'elster_sp_hair_basecolor' -> select 'Add Attribute' -> pick 'Float' -> type $alpha in the textbox. Done."

Use Auto-Rigger for custom rigs.
