Sunrod - Esoteric Alchemy II

The Sunrod is a compound originally designed primarily for the entertainment of the affluent. While it lacks practical utility, its creation through transmutation processes results in a silver-colored metallic rod. When this rod is struck firmly against a solid surface, it triggers a reaction with the quicksilver contained within its molecular structure. The quicksilver disassociates from the silver and engages in a chemical reaction, ultimately transforming the silver into gold. This reaction is accompanied by a mesmerizing alchemiluminescent display, producing a radiant golden light at the rod's apex as gold forms.

As the transmutation progresses, the rod gradually diminishes in size, leaving behind a coiled, golden mass composed of a compound containing iron and gold. This compound can subsequently be subjected to further processes to extract pure elemental iron and gold from it.
