Uniforms of the German Democratic Republic: Over the Years

描述
This pack depicts the Uniforms of the Ministry of State Security of the German Democratic Republic from 1974-1982. This era, as with the army, saw the introduction of open collar uniforms

The Ministry for State Security (German: Ministerium für Staatssicherheit), abbreviated as "MfS" but commonly refered to as "Stasi," was the Security and Intelligence Service of the DDR. Unlike most government ministries, the Stasi had a chief responsibility to the ruling Socialist Unity Party. It also oversaw foreign intelligence, with Stasi Agents operating throughout the west. Many consider the Stasi to be second only to the Soviet KGB in terms of size, competence, and scale of surveillance.

This Pack Includes:

A Suit - The humble suit was the primary attire for most Stasi Agents. Many would only wear uniforms in office settings, opting for greater ambiguity in public. Each Agent was issued a special lapel pin that would designate them as Stasi Agents for official duties.

A Staff Service Uniform - The Staff Service Uniform was a modified version of the "Service" uniform, featuring a dress shirt and pants as well as the absence of a belt. This uniform was primarily worn for office duties, which most Stasi officials found themselves doing while wearing uniforms.

A Social Uniform for Officers and Generals - The Social Uniform was introduced in 1976 as a supplement to the current Dress Uniforms. It would be used while attending Galas, theater shows, diplomatic visits, and became the primary uniform for Armed Forces Members participating in Government Functions. It had two versions, a "dress down" version worn with ribbons, typically for Government functions and other internal events, as well as a "Greater" version that included medals, a shoulder cord, and a dagger. This was worn for major government occasions, but was primarily for diplomatic receptions and visits.

A Wachregiment Uniform - The Felix Dzerzhinsky Guards Regiment was the paramilitary wing of the Stasi. It was tasked with the uniformed protection of SED Officials, performing duties wherever uniformed guards were necessary. They operated in close collaboration with the Hauptabteilung Personenschutz, the plain-clothed Stasi department Chiefly responsible for the protection of said officials.

I'm confused. What other details/bodygroups could even be added? All of this is based on actual uniform regulations. Models that lack medals, like the social uniform, is because it was limited to only 4 medals for officers. Anything that you might think was missing because we chose not to add it is a deliberate choice.

For example, none of the models have helmets, because none of these uniforms were allowed to be worn with helmets.
