Archelon II MTJ

A heavy, high speed jet tank made to deliver punishing flanking assaults to any land-bound counterparts too slow to keep up. With extensive storage and a large fuel capacity, these surprisingly nimble craft are capable of prolonged operation behind enemy lines, with its shells, though unusually low calibre as compared to similarly-weighted tanks, capable of devastating effect on the sides and rear of most armoured vehicles. Though its ventral machinegun position was not part of the original design unlike the Axolotl II, all production models include it following several incidents in which infantry anti-tank weaponry was used against the Archelon II from this blind spot, a weakness worsened by the presence of a hull access hatch on the underside of the hull. Prior to this modification crews were simply instructed to use the weight of the tank to crush anyone unfortunate enough to attempt this tactic, to varying degrees of success. With fuel consumption and emissions best described as "moderate", it is advised against deploying the Archelon II in close proximity of densely populated areas, a concern not afforded to those in the hands of Dominion forces.
