It's the year 2017, and an ultranationalist-led US is still rebuilding from a disastrous confrontation with Russia from 25 years before. Organized criminal groups like the Russian Mob are exploiting the crisis for their own gain, fueling instability to maintain their influence. People are desperate for an escape.

Then along comes a designer drug called "Eden," one that promises pure bliss to those who take it. It quickly consumes the Miami Underworld - and, now, it threatens to spill over to the rest of the population. Every choice could uphold or ruin the city's stability.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do is to walk away.



As John, a "security consultant" and hitman for the Federal Bureau of Reunification, you will shoot and slice your way through 11 levels to uncover the truth about the drug epidemic. Your actions will have consequences beyond combo size and point total: multiple endings await you, and not all of them will conclude happily for anyone involved. An arsenal of masks, perks, and weapons allow you to carve your own path through the opposition, whether they're street gangs or hardened Russian mobsters.



Love and Forgetting is a reimagining of the cancelled mod "Midnight Animal," taking cues from its initial design phase and the "Story of Love and Forgetting" revamp. A large emphasis is placed on the story, exploring levels, and taking the story at your own pace. Hub cutscenes allow you to pick and choose when to drop out of a conversation. Secrets will shed more light on the story for dedicated players. For those solely interested in gameplay, most levels will allow you to get straight into the action.
