Meet the old/new mercenary, Lt. Conrad Gillitt - and continue his story from JA2 with this voiced mod.

Sure, he is an arrogant a$$hole, but considering his troubled childhood, who would really blame him? Perhaps - just perhaps - his unique set of skills makes bearing with him a net positive experience. :)

Lt. Conrad Gillitt

BIO - A plan. A clear, concise plan.
Born to a Hungarian father and a Hungarian mother, and yet, having his surname plucked straight out of a cheesy American shaver commercial made Conrad Gillitt's childhood a challenging one. To overcome these life-altering kindergarten memories, he embarked on a rigorous training routine and eventually joined the military, emerging as a top performer. However, disillusioned by the Eastern Block's indifference to his personal greatness, he decided to tour dictatorships worldwide, becoming the go-to freelance military instructor. His stint with the Army in Arulco left him a tad disgruntled due to late payments from Deidranna, so when he encountered the AIM mercenaries, he eagerly joined their local ranks. After word finally and inevitably got out that he agreed to work for a meagre $3300/day, no self-respecting dictator would hire him anymore. To his utter dismay, he had no choice but to officially enlist as a full-time AIM mercenary.

Sorry for the hiatus, I have a bit shifted priorities lately, but I have hope that I can return to modding once it's resolved.

By the way, I thought you might be interested in the alternative body and portrait files that I have for some of the mercs.

Love Conrad. He's funny and it's great to be able to train elite militia in the crucial areas right away. Wonderful merc mod.

Hmmm, it's then probably because GC Militia Overhaul changes how militias are stored for the sectors. (the sector.militia_squad_id is nil apparently).
In the future I can try and check if I can make this work for both Vanilla and GC Milita overhaul, but no promises.

It says "train militia first" . I also use GC Militia Overhaul. I think it overrides militia training scripts and or squads causing your script not to see existing militia. I checked both codes to see if it was obvious but wasn't to my untrained eye. Maybe you can take a look at his code?
