Insect Repellent-Salve - Esoteric Alchemy I

This compound was originally made as an obscure poison hundreds of years ago. Alchemists coincidentally rediscovered the compound as transmutation engines started to emerge. Experimentation with the compound revealed its potential as an extremely potent insect repellent gel to be applied to the skin. Its use for that dwindled quickly however as former Head Alchemist C. Magnussen discovered the compound is the same as a former poison known as "Fleur's Poison." Production engines dedicated to this compound were repurposed after this discovery, and the compound was lost to time.

Fleur's Poison is not particularly effective as a lethal poison. It possesses an intensely sour taste, and it necessitates a significant quantity of the substance to result in a fatality. Consequently, it is primarily documented in textbooks for historical reference. Its utility as an insect repellent gel should be approached with caution, as there are more modern and safer alternatives available for this purpose. The production of this compound should be undertaken only for experimentation or research purposes.
