Overview

What does this mod do ?
BetterDeals aims to declutter and automate parts of the deal process.

Never be late finishing a deal on the deadline, and declutter the work item view from completed deals. Completed deals are hidden, with teams unassigned, so you can focus on the task at hand. Same goes for the printing and manufacturing deals, so you can more easily see which deals will be met.

Check out the options for configuration options.

Mod is working as of 1.6

It does not take deals for you, instead it promotes them through the stages (configuration in options) and completes them when they are due. Once a deal has reached your desired completed state, it will hide the deal but not end them so you can collect the maxium amount of money from the deal. Deals are handed in just before midnight on the day its due.

sorry for my ignorance but, how does this mod work? does it automatically accepts deals and progresses/promotes them or do I have to do something?

So currently with deals you only get paid while the deal is active, whether its at 0% or 100%.
This mod aims to pause the work and hide the item when the targets have been met (say you set the option to only 2 design iterations) but it keeps the work item active. This way you get the full amount of funds without having clutter on your work item list, and saves you having to remember which deals to hand it at the write time.

Currently this mod only works on 1.7+ which is the unstable branch. I have been looking to bring it to 1.6 as well, but its been a bit more tricky than i thought it would be. MarketingEndQualityEstimate isn't available in 1.6 so i have to find another way to get the values i need.

Thanks for these mods!

Partly because I don't understand how the base game works, but how do you know when a design deal is done? If a deal is for eight months of design work but I complete it in six, do I get the last two months of payment?
