Glowkworms are very unusual creatures, so much so that one could write an entire book on just this species, but let's just stick to the basics.

Glowkworms, as their name suggests, are a species of Kworm, a creature that once was a menacing predatory serpentine Kwyex but now is merely a noodle. Glowkworms have a rather extreme form of sexual dimorphism: females are completely immobile, over 2 meters long (making them the largest of all Kworms), and stick out of the ground like the garden eels of today. Males, on the other hand, rarely grow in beyond the size at which they hatch, and are capable of movement. They reproduce in a rather unusual way: the females lay many unfertilized eggs, which the males will fertilize on sight. The eggs hatch a few weeks later, and when they reach maturity the cycle will repeat itself. The eggs that don't get fertilized will be sent away by the glowkworm that laid them for other creatures to feed on. This all might sound weird to you but it's not unheard of back on Earth.

Other Information: They were originally going to be from 1 BYPE rather than just 850 MYPE but I brought them back a few million years to make room for weirder, more interesting creatures to evolve.
