Biting Grass is, as the name and appearance might already lead you to think, a carnivorous plant. But Biting Grass takes it a step further by being an active hunter rather than just waiting for the food to come to it like the carnivorous plants we're familiar with. Biting Grass grows in clusters of six by the few bodies of water remaining on the planet. Each stalk is capable of independent movement, and is seemingly capable of detecting its prey, the quiblits, in the pools. When a quiblit gets too close, the plant will grab it with its jaws and eat it. It appears to gather more energy from its prey than it does from doing normal plant stuff, even! Biting Grass may as well just be an animal at this point. It would be interesting to see what could evolve if we give it even more time. This used to be a regular Earth plant, mind you.
