Beautiful People

The mod substitutes all ethnicities (DNA generation) in the game to make all created characters more “beautiful.” It’s mostly an experiment, so it is not built as a fully-fledged replacement of the existing system. It replaces all ethnicities in the game causing that all characters are generated with more regular faces and appealing looks. Nevertheless, most characters look similar to one another since I have used only a limited number of ethnicities per culture. I might add additional ethnicities to improve variety if there is any interest in the mod.

The support for EPE was dropped in the newest version of the mod. The mod won’t work with any total conversions (again, if there is any interest, I might make versions for those). It is also compatible with RICE, but it doesn’t need it to be installed (if RICE is not installed, RICE cultures will still be in the game, but no characters on the map will have them).

Since the mod replaces ethnicities and cultures it is not compatible with any mod modifying vanilla files in common\culture\cultures and common\ethnicities (most mods don’t do that, mostly total conversions though). Any mod which adds an additional culture to the game which doesn’t overwrite vanilla files should be okay though.

While I don’t recommend using cosmetic decals with EPE, since they obfuscate the character faces, they still work fine with the mod. On the other hand, traits like Beautiful and Ugly will modify character DNA, so they will modify the characters created with the mod. You can use mods like Natural Beauty which prevent beautiful traits from modifying DNA. Characters still can be overweight or underweight, as well as muscular. If it bothers you, you can use mods which eliminate that like Special Gene Traits.

Since it modifies cultures, the mod wouldn’t be ironman compatible, it should not disable achievements though.
