This reuploaded mod will replace Magnum Pistol with M1 Garand from Call of Duty: Vanguard, made for those who don't want to risk their game to have unstable FPS and occasional audio cuts with many HQ-ish mods installed.

What's provided in the original mod by Animal33:

  • Weapon model with animations, custom HUD icon and sounds

Changes I made to Animal33's mod:

  • Compressed the .vtf texture files by resizing them to half of their original resolution

Credits:

Sledgehammer Games (published by Activision) - Weapon model, textures, sounds and animations

REMINDER: While the purpose of these compressed weapon mods is to minimize the risk of unstable FPS and occasional audio cuts, some of them still have the potential to cause game crashes, as their .smd file(s) (a.k.a. their uncompiled model files) may exceed Source's 17,433 vertices limit. Unfortunately, there's little I can do to address this issue, as splitting their .smd file(s) into different parts requires more skill and trial and error than simply compressing the texture files. Besides, I usually don't take mod nor friend requests.

the rear sight is the only downfall for this mod

@Idle Maste Funnily enough, that rear sight you mentioned is an optional attachment for M1 Garand in Vanguard. I can't say the same for the Sten gun though.

this mod is great
it fits the 8 rounds setting of the deagle in game
has different reload animation when gun is empty or has rounds left
and it actually PING
only downside is the model with wrong(or broken?) rear sight
it just aint right when looking at

In my opinion if you using print dot net you can change size of pictures whatever you want i recommend change pixel to 256x256 that it probably solve i guess :steamsad:

hey i want to ask for adding you cause i want to learn how to compress weapon textures completely with no issues, i have a little problem doing this
