Heavy Frigate 'Pandora'

A compact ship delivering heavy artillery. Should always be guarded by 1 or 2 escort Corvettes. This ship will obviously be most effective against slow targets or stations. There are two ships with 2 different designs of ammunition. The first one uses the 100-explosives-in-a-container-bug. Kind of expensive. The second one uses a warhead that is armed right before shooting, making it safer than most other configurations with warheads.

New design of ammunition for the second ship, making it safer to handle. The warhead will be armed right before firing. Now several rockets on the magazine wont end up in ruining your day. Also this new design should be kind of cheap. Make sure that the batteries are set to output, or the missile wont leave the barrel.

Groups have now english titles. Except the trigger for the main cannon. But you should figure this one out ;)

How to operate the main cannon:

Get in the cockpit for the weapons operator on the lower deck.
Set all batteries on the ship to output.
Activate the group with welders and grinders to fire the first bullet. Deactivate them afterwards.
Load the barrel by activating the piston and stop it.
Repeat.
The last bullet will be fired when you deactivate the merge blocks and seperate the magazine.


I wanted to stick mostly to the vanilla game. Uses following mods:

Fighter cockpit
Armored Thruster
Skybox Storm Planet

Crew:

1 pilot
1 weapons operator

Equipment:

6 front gatlings
2 rear gatlings
2 rocket launchers
2 rocket turrets
magazin-fed grav cannon (5 rounds)


Note: I named it a frigate to indicate its size, not its role.
