Utility Turrets

描述
Taking a break from barotrauma, won't be updating in the foreseeable future.


With a focus on utility over combat, this mod adds two new turrets: the Maintenance Turret and the Flare Launcher.

The Maintenance Turret
A perfect companion for repair drones or mining shuttles.
  • Welding Fuel Barrel - For repairing structures and mending hearts.
  • Liquid Oxygen Barrel - Cuts through steel like butter. (Can now mine ores!)
  • Fixfoam Barrel - For repairing structures really fast.

The Flare Launcher
The power of the sun, contained in a convenient steel tube.
Campaign friendly! Swap out your Searchlight as your nearest submarine chop-shop today!
  • Decoy Flare Canister - Releases six incredibly distracting marine flares as it travels.
  • Magnesium Flare Canister - Shoots one ultra-bright long-lasting flare. Useful for lighting up caves and wrecks.

Tech Specs
Flare Launchers have their own inventory. They do not need an ammo loader. They can hold 1 canister at a time. Each canister has 4 shots before depleting.
The decoy flares will last about 100 seconds before despawning. They have 100 health, and can be destroyed by monsters much sooner than 100 seconds (about 10 hits from a crawler).
Magnesium flares last about 400 seconds. They can be used as decoys, but their detection range is severely reduced to prevent monsters from just swarming it. They also have 300 health total incase something gets close.
Both flares cause burn damage when standing nearby. Exercise caution.
Flare canisters can be recycled and deconstructed. You will get the steel back on deconstructing, and half the powder used to make it.
Flare canisters can be stored in a Railgun rack. This mod overrides railgun racks. If another mod overrides railgun racks, you'll run into a compatibility issue.
Flare Launchers can be swapped out mid-campaign. They replace Searchlights or Searchlight hardpoints. This mod overrides Searchlights due to a bug that causes the LightComponent to be ignored when swapping turrets.
All flares have neutral buoyancy. Once the flare stops moving, it will hover in the water in place.
