Lore:
A species of Grind Worm that prefers to live in rocky or gravel filled environments.
This particular species has evolved long spikes used to shift though the gravel and dirt, and sense vibrations.
Its head has also evolved 8 long slits; designed to slice the meat of its prey off its bones in slabs, instead of into pieces.
This species is also far more aggressive, and will attack anything, including other species of grind worm.
