Winterreise 1827 is a competitive game for two to four players, in which you help the great composer Franz Schubert complete and publish some of his most famous songs. The game involves area movement/control, resource management, and multi-use cards as its primary mechanics.

Players act as the musician’s Muse, suggesting individual notes to complete his works and direct him to explore imaginary places found in the poetic texts that have inspired him. Help Schubert maneuver through the vast winter landscape by making footprints to gain influence and trigger special one-time abilities. Just know that his long lost Belovéd and the Old Hurdy–Gurdy Man will stalk you every step of the way, creating snowdrifts to shift the outcome!



Will you take the nostalgic path to victory and focus on Schubert’s sentimental memories, or help him make the difficult (and perhaps more profitable) choices on a challenging journey into the unknown?
