Hiraltayan tankers are no stranger to add-on armor and field modifications, and neither are their mechanics. There exists a tense understanding between these two classes, with the mechanics turning a blind eye to modifications that don't impact their work, and the tankers adding what they need while respecting their mechanic's wishes. There come some times, though, where a tank crew decides that this understanding means nothing to them.
Such crews are common to the Aurden class, a lightly-armored anti-air 8x8. Their crews absolutely insist every single mod of theirs is crucial to their missions and survival, so much so that many mechanics simply refuse to work on them when they roll into the motorpool. Luckily for their crews, Aurden is a simple, rugged chassis that can more than take on the burden of all their tons of very, very useful extra steel.
