West Midlands (No Industry)

描述
This is a megalomaniac size map that covers most of the West Midlands of England, centred around the second city of England, Birmingham. It also includes the surrounding urban area of Birmingham called the Black Country. This area is densely populated with both towns and steel industry. Moving further out, the area becomes more rural with towns such as Kidderminster, Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa. There is an iron field in Northamptonshire near the South Eastern corner of the map. Towards the North Eastern side of the map, there is the city of Leicester, and the stone and iron fields between Leicester and the brewery town of Burton-upon-Trent. The East Midlands cities of Derby and Nottingham are NOT included.

This area was home to many railways due to it's population and industry. The original London and North Western Railway mainline ran from Rugby through Birmingham and Wolverhampton to Stafford, as well as the Trent Valley diversion. The Great Western Railway also had it's own line to the north via this map, starting at Banbury and ending just beyond Wolverhampton. The Midland Railway's main line ran perpendicular to these, beginning at Derby, just beyond this map, and carrying on past Worcester in the South West. And, of course, there are countless minor cross-country lines, branch lines and industrial spurs.

Experimental map sizes must be enabled for this map to work.

This version of the map includes no industries, for those who want to place their own, as the manually placed ones are vaguely inspired by the location of real life industries.
