Are you tired of using ancient thruster technology? Join the future with our brand-new impulse drives! We have a small version and a big one!

You will still need 2 to 4 thrusters because pilots in this galaxy are not trained at turning with only one 4 directional thruster! 2 thrusters are incredibly unstable!

It has really fast zoomies!


Crafting cost for the small impulse drive:
- 80 steel
- 40 hypercoils
- 50 tristeel
- 12 processor
- 1 diamond

You can get the blueprint from your local dealer for 150000 Credits! You need the huge thruster unlocked to buy this.


Small Impulse Drive stats:
- Size: 3X3
- Command points: 8
- Thrust: 16000
- Power: usage 0,7
- Power: capacity 12
- Mass: 9,0
- Hit points: 5000

The large impulse drive is more effective but requires crew to operate it. The bridge computer simply can’t handle it by itself!

Blueprint cost: 400,000 Credits and you need to have purchased the small impulse drive!

- 400 steel
- 200 hypercoils
- 300 tristeel
- 120 processor
- 8 diamond

Large impulse drive Stats:
- Size: 6X6
- Crew needed: 4
- Command points: 32
- Thrust 80,000
- Power usage: 2.4
- Power capacity: 48
- Mass: 36
- Hit points: 20,000

Observe: this mod might not be balanced if you are pro at the game. But for me it works fine!

If there is an update to the game you can simply just turn the mod back on even though it's outdated. Unless the creator of cosmoteer changes how engines work then this will not break.

The creator of this game updates a lot which is nice but it really makes it hard to keep mods updated. Every time the game get's an update all of us mod makers have to change one number in a document even though the mod still works.

You can do this yourself for all mods on the workshop! Just go to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\799600\/(specific mod folder) find the rules file in the first folder of the mod and change the compatible version number to the latest. Or you can simply just activate the out of date mod in the game and just play as much as you want. Your choice. We mod creators do this for free while working, living and raising kids so be nice!
