Over 10 years ago, I recreated this scene from a dream I had, using Celestia and Gimp. I figured it'd be cool to have one of those diffraction spikes in SE, and I thankfully still had the .xcf file for it, so I extracted the spikes and put them into SE. I generally set my diffraction spikes size to ~0.35 or so in the SE settings. :)

UPDATE 3-13-2024: I added a desaturaded option. They suffer from a bit of banding, so you may want to fudge your visualization settings to get them to look better.

It should show up in the Visual Style settings in the drop down box for diffraction spikes. :)
