it has to do with the coordinate system on the map - arma 3 does not work well with letter map grids or negative numbers, which are a bit of a holdover from arma 2 and OPF. in these mission i have used a BIS function that checks a clear area around vehicle placement, but unfortunately if the function returns a safe location that isn't safe because the map grid is too small or has weird values, i can't really fix it easily. using my own function might work, but it's not exactly easy to subtract -2 from "AA". hills are the worst offenders.
best practice i've found is manually selecting a FOB location in a known flat area. away from the edges of the map.
0xc0000409 is an application crash where the Arma program writes to something outside the memory stack, which can corrupt or damage other items in memory leading to the application to crash (self-terminate with abnormal end). device drivers, temporary files, outdated or unsupported framework files like visual c++, recent system changes, mismatch between expected data and actual data, et c can all cause this.
not really a DRO thing specifically. i would need to see an rpt log and crash dump mdmp to analyze.
i have no idea what you mean by "vanilla damage", the mission fully supports the ACE medical system and the other ACE addons normally. i use ACE exclusively with customized settings. you're free to use whatever settings you feel like with ACE in these missions.
the mission itself has no enforced ACE settings other than requiring revive to be disabled if you're using ACE medical, or stamina enabled if you're using ACE fatigue.
all done.
sure thing
