Please play these people's mods and give them some love. They put so much work into their projects, it's a crime not to play them.

Play through the campaign not as the Master Chief, but as the many infantry members of the UNSC. This ranges from the old Orion Cyborgs to the ODSTs to even the basic bog standard UNSC Marine. This mod is far easier than the base version, and is intended as a more casual experience. That's not to say it isn't difficult, your health is still just as low, but players will be happy not do deal with getting stunned by plasma burns or deal with tank controls.
