Description: In the present day, various Zemplix "species" already exist, although the differences between them are so subtle that one likely wouldn't even notice them.

But if we do the Next Earth thing and travel into the future, we meet the Pyroplix. One hundred thousand years from now, on the planet Pencius, where the inhabitants, for unknown reasons, are only able to hatch if their egg is incubated in one of the lava fountains (because there are lava fountains) found throughout the city, and have evolved to resemble the flames themself. Hilariously, the Pyroplix are from an icy planet, not a fiery one, and the lava fountains are to help them warm up from being on the freezing surface of Pencius. They just happened to refuse to hatch unless their egg was in one for some reason.
