I don't believe this is a desync issue. All of our group was able to confirm the exact number of enemies on screen at any time, the only difference we could see was the sprites being spiders or not. Even if it were a desync issue, it wouldn't explain how it also happens in singleplayer. I made sure to spawn just one spider, the same spider in both singleplayer games, and I tried it multiple times, with the results being the same every attempt: the one with the mod on always dies, and the one without it always takes 12 damage + poison.
There were some changes made when I've compared to the latest game files, and I removed Some of the spiders that lost the spit ability, and some evasion and the -10 fire resistances they had.
There was likely a desync for enemies you guys couldn't see spit if you guys had different mods somehow.
Me and my friends were in the spider cave, and the two members of our party who had this mod enabled were taking massive damage from every enemy, while the two with it off were taking damage at what seemed to be a normal rate. One specific friend was playing paladin and was getting killed by almost any attack
I tested this with my own paladin file, mod off, near the same level. Small spiders did 8 damage. To test this further, I made 2 new save files, paladins, easy mode, one with the mod on, one with it off. When being attacked by the small spiders, the one with the mod off took 12 damage per attack, while the one with the mod on took 117 damage and died instantly
Not sure if this was already known about but it seems like a pretty big issue. It doesn't seem to affect other enemies. I don't know if other users are getting the same problems, but it seems like the mod is doing this somehow
