Hox Gene Plants

描述
What does it do?

This mod adds very weak plants which grow random genes very slowly over time.

On harvest you will obtain 1 completely random genepack.

To grow the plants you need to research "Hoxplant" and a minimum soil fertility of 100%

Yes it is a bit overpowered, but the plants take 1 year to grow and are quite weak and require a plant skill of 15 and an Archotech research.

That's all there is to it!

Why?
I wanted a mod that could give me random genes through a slow means other than just crafting it. Now i'm uploading it in case others are interested.

Possible to add some way to make these implantable? Would be cool for a tribal playthrough where genepacks are grown and injected like that black panther purple flower.

is this compatible with VRE androids? will it spawn subroutines?

Thats a good question @GameJonkey. I haven't tested this but if they utilise the same base game functionality of gene packs then it should. My mod doesn't call any individual genes so to speak its completely random based off all genes available. If i get some time I'll test this weekend with Alpha Genes but in theory it should be fine.

quick question will it work with mods with other gene packs like for example alpha genes?

@nickferenc use a hydroponics basin it will increase the growth rate to 280%

@Jahames - You can currently get Archotech gene pods at random, ill have to figure out a seperate method

@DisKorruptd - No events for a bloom yet but I will look into it, I wouldn't think they would survive unless you are in a constant growing region with no cold snaps though.

Is there by chance a hoxplant bloom event for a small collection of them growing like with ambrosia?
