Ejection and self destruct concept

After watching one of Arron74's (LastStandGamers) videos about ejection systems I was inspired to dabble a little myself.

Using the latest in delicious update technology I implemented the two features that seemed most important in the video, namely, escaping the damaged ship alive and ensuring that nothing is left behind for the opposing side to steal/salvage.

This is accomplished in a two stage process:

1) Hitting '3' will simultaneously turn off the mergeblocks connecting the cockpit to the rest of the ship and also turn on the escape thrusters. From there you can use "W" to move the miniature vessel out of harms way.
I chose not to use the thruster override because you might as well use the buttons you already have to easily control the escaping cockpit. On board is power, a gyro and not much else. Just enough for you to run away.

2) Once a safe distance has been reached, hit '4'. This will utilize the awesome remote control systems of the antennas to activate two thrusters on the inside of the ship which have full thruster override enabled. These thrusters are pointing at warheads inside the ship and will cause a chain reaction, ensuring that nothing but a husk is left once the opposing side arrive at the site of the wreck.

This was just a proof of concept and as such I didn't put much thought into the ship itself. It has decent weapons (all linked up to central storage of course) and it handles like the heavy fighter it is. It has terrible breaking though, namely because you don't need good breaking power in combat, they're there just to stabilize. It looks terrible and I'm sorry about that, I didn't bother much with design in this initial release.

As an afterthought, in a moment of desperation if you've taken some heavy damage, you could turn off your inertial dampers and send your ship on a suicide run at the capital ship, eject, then kaboom it when it hits the capital ship.

It was slightly more relevant before we had all these new fancy blocks, namely timers and remote control blocks.
