Okinawa Ridge [Map]

This map was an experiment at first that I've ended up enjoying playing so I figured I'd post it. I wanted to see if it was possible to make a map with only one objective that was fun, but also extremely hard. I find the game overall too easy and I wanted to make a mission that has almost impossible odds to overcome.

I just finished watching the Pacific for the 5th time and the map draws inspiration from the first marines battle in the mud drenched island of Okinawa. I can't even imagine the hell that those men went through, but I tried to recreate it with this map.

The map takes place in some God forsaken hills in Okinawa. The Japanese are heavily entrenched. The US have been pounding the hills with artillery to soften up the defenses but there are hundreds of Japanese soldiers prepared to die, defending these hills. A charge issue has been ordered to move forward and secure the hills. A night time assault ensues.

The map is NOT balanced. The map is not historically accurate. This is supposed to only be played with the US troops. You will lose a ♥♥♥♥ ton of soldiers. You will most likely not succeed. I may or may not release a more beatable version of the map. I just wanted to try something a bit different.

What are you waiting for? Get up that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hill and give 'em hell!
